HOW WE HELP YOU.
KITCHEN FIRE SUPPRESSION SYSTEMS

According to the National Restaurant Association, 57% of all restaurant fires originate from cooking equipment. That’s why installing and maintaining a kitchen hood suppression system is crucial. Once the system senses a fire, the system will discharge wet chemicals that will cover the flames and deprive them of oxygen—then the gas line will be cut off, starving the fire of fuel. Flames, extinguished. Disaster, averted. (And food, saved—since no other cooking stations will be affected.)
PANIC DOOR ALARMS AND HARDWARE

Panic doors and hardware are crucial in any place where fast evacuation may be the difference between life and death. They are typically found on hallway doors where fire code requires separate areas to help control smoke, fire and heat (like commercial buildings, hotels and hospitals), as well as on exit doors in high-density buildings (think movie theatres, arenas and restaurants).
SMOKE TEST AND SMOKE DETECTOR TEST

Local Fire Protection will smoke test your smoke detectors to ensure all units are in working order and ready to protect anyone in the building should they ever be needed.
FIRE SAFETY PROGRAMS AND SURVEYS

When we complete a detailed fire safety survey, we thoroughly examine your building and find ways in which we can help you minimize threats from a fire.
EXIT/EMERGENCY LIGHTS

Letting people know where to go in the event of a fire is not only necessary—in most cases, it is a mandated requirement. Permanently lit emergency lighting indicates the closest exit, and allows people to evacuate your building quickly and safely. Local Fire Protection can install this lighting, maintain the components, and ensure the backup system or battery is also working properly.
EXTINGUISHERS

Local Fire Protection offers 5- and 10-pound dry chemical fire extinguishers, as well as wet chemical fire extinguishers for industrial, commercial and residential use. Both types of our portable extinguishers are effective at putting out small fires, and are a highly important feature for your space.
COMPLIANCE ENGINE REPORTING

The Compliance Engine is a web-based service that helps fire code officials track inspections, testing and compliance on fire protection systems, backflows and elevators. This simple service reduces false alarms and makes your building safer.
FIRE EXTINGUISHER TAGS

Fire extinguisher tags are informative—and required. The extinguisher’s serial number and model number can be found on this tag, along with other important information. It’s also not uncommon for an extinguisher to have more than one tag, with additional details like the expiration date and more.
FIRE EXTINGUISHER TRAINING CERTIFICATION

So everyone is prepared, Local Fire Protection will train you and your employees on best practices for using a fire extinguisher. Better safe than sorry!
